I have something more in mind. If The Concis crosses 1 million readers then I can push from the front. Remember the conversation we had about NYTimes two years ago? My reader base is still small but my opinions have started flowing into western think tanks and nat sec circle. I do have some big names following me. Not sure if they are still reading the times though. 🤔
The more AWACs Ukraine whacks, the more whack-able Russia becomes.
Dear Card Cheat Bone Spurs; Your days trying to read, and bet on the poker faces you want to take advantage of are OVER. You put your whole bet on your foul mouth buddy, with bullshit up his sleeves who was bluffing his way and hoping you’d deal him at least one good card - and the guy you were praying would lose had two Aces and two Wild cards and refused to fold !!
A new chapter in human history began being written yesterday. New military strategies. New heights of resolve from an over-matched nation. New depths in the descent of the Potemkin Russian nation. New wake-up call to every nation with an air force exposed to the open air. Ukraine is the world's author today.
May more Russian amputations to the Russian war machine take place. China must be laughing with glee at their good fortune. Russia is dead, and China can carve up the pieces when and how they choose.
3 of 6 AWACS gone is a series of unrelenting body blows.
Well done, and a BIG shoutout to all the Ukrainian Special operations officers, units and planners. Just Brilliant!
This is best battle field and intelligence operation since the Israelis blew up most of Hezbollah using their cell phones and beepers (not that I support what Israel is currently doing in Gaza and the West Bank).
Moreover, and the best part of this operation besides occurring on the eve of the peace negotiations in Istanbul? The Mango Moron threw a tantrum and was livid because he wasn’t notified in advance; as though any ally is seriously considering sharing any TS/SCI or SAP information with Trump. I’d be shocked if anyone on the American team knew in advance.
Furthermore, this is also a major setback for any future operations Russia may plan against NATO should Ukraine ultimately be defeated (not going to happen), since Russia just lost its strategic air superiority, and long range bombing capabilities.
Not to mention, the staggering dollar amount that literally blew up into thin air.
That said, while Russia has proven itself time, time and again to be a paper tiger, they are still formidable in causing global chaos; political and social disinformation campaigns, and cyber espionage and warfare. Therefore, never count these scoundrels out. They may be wounded and weak, but this also makes Putin even more dangerous than ever! IMHO…:)
Yes. I was surprised. Ukraine is getting confident. "Moreover, and the best part of this operation besides occurring on the eve of the peace negotiations in Istanbul?"
Battlefield defeats speed the collapse of Russia's army. Collapsing Putinist rule follows from worsened conditions of life and welfare inside the Russian state.
As soon as I heard the first report I came here to see what you said but I guess I was early. I just expect you to have the most persuasive and concise take from the jump.... 😉
I think Pearl Harbour is wrong analogy here. Closer might be the Dambuster raids: new weapons brought to "safe" places but still then I don't think there is a great analogy from history for what happened here today for the strategic impact.
Not just from the loss of so many strategic aircraft but the knock on effects on Russian logistics as others have pointed out. If every single truck and container has to be search and repeatedly, this will grind the logistics of the war to a halt. The impact on logistics may be the single biggest strategic outcome of the attack.
Despite what the current U.S. regime has been trying to convince us otherwise, Russia is the aggressor that has been inflicting horrific crimes on Ukraine and its people for more than three years. And they’re beyond fed up.
Ukraine’s brilliant drone strike on Russian soil was a serious FAFO moment for Putin and his obsolete, disintegrating war machine. Seriously, I’m surprised that the Russian people haven’t taken to the streets 1917-style.
Can we note that Ukraine appears to have achieved this blow without any reported casualties: a contrast to a foe which deliberately targets civilians.
Noted.
The facts make it clearer every day: this war is turning out to be a massive win for the West.
Western nations are reaping strategic and economic advantages, while Russia bleeds out slowly.
Slowly but surely, and with Western support, they’re draining more and more of Russia’s resources — which is a good thing for us.
I feel sorry for the Ukrainians, who are paying the price with lives lost, territory taken, and an immense amount of pain and sorrow.
🇺🇦
They will need a lot of our help when they start to come out of this, that will be our moment.
It is not too soon to donate directly to Ukraine via the United24.gov.ua website.
I sent them a congratulations donation.

Brilliant. Slava Ukraini. The nuclear armed gas station with embassies took a body blow. Brilliant

100%----The more AWACs Ukraine whacks, the more whack-able Russia becomes.
Ukraine can win this war...without the US and a feckless, marginalized Trump. Slava Ukraini!

Slava Ukraini!
Maybe Putin really is China's gas station attendant!
Here's to hoping they did not launch all of their near-base drones. Let Putin stew for a couple days, then hit them again.

I can't wait to find the status of the A50.
I believe this calls for champagne !!
Yep.
Taco Krasnov picked a bad time to switch sides

Yes. Sorry. I have a few open source researchers I bank on. None of them rush the results. Neither do I. First out of the gate feels wrong.
I know, I know. It's just my habit. And it was a "BFD!"

I do wonder if there is a double tap coming.
Understood.

Shankar! Yes! Russia suffered a major loss and embarrassment!
I also referred to the sneak attack as Putin’s “Pearl Harbor!
But, as all comparisons fall short, this one also misses three defining differences:
(1) Putin’s Oligarchy deserves it!
(2) Putin’s Oligarchy is on the back foot, without the enormous economic or social support to remake its economy!
(3) Ukraine is a creative, innovative democracy with wealthy democracies standing in a supportive role!
(3) Ukraine is on the
