Thank you Shankar. Last night my son emailed a photo of the Empire State Building lit in Blue and Yellow to celebrate Ukraines' Independence Day. I have my flags flying. https://substack.com/@sarafrischer/note/c-148699230?utm_source=notes-share-action&r=fa5ey

Ukraine must be able to strike Russian territory, enough of having their hands tied while Russia smacks them with missiles.

Colby is a boy, the most useful i--t ever seen.

The DUI hire Hegseth is not an idiot, he is just a degenerate.

Eldridge Colby is 45. Age 45 is old enough to be a multi star general in the military. He is not a boy. He is an idiot. He has been described as believing the threat the United States needs to focus on is China, and that preparations for the Chinese threat should take precedence over any participation in the ongoing current war in Europe. He seems incapable of grasping that if the West, united, standing firm against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine would signal to China that any invasion of Taiwan would not be tolerated or successful - thus reducing the likelihood of ever going to war in the Pacific.

Hegseth is worse than a degenerate. He is actively supporting trump’s traitorous dismantling of important Department of Defense capabilities in favor of creating a military loyal to trump as he might use it to seize more control over the US population. Hegseth, for example, has been an active, willing participant in dismantling talent in the defense the United States had assembled against Russian cyber assaults and election interference. Mr trump has benefitted immensely from Russian “active measures” and steps have been taken to ensure those measures continue.

Hegseth and Colby have quietly created a requirement for Ukraine to request permission to employ long range weapons onto Russian soil, which they routinely deny. The United States is therefore defacto returning to the roll of attempting to protect the Russian war machine.

He's probably an agent, not an idiot.

Colby is there to take the heat off Hegseth, who is probably the "real" culprit. Factions are lining up in the White House.

Putin's mastery of the Kremlin was to pit corrupt factions against each other and act as the bloody referee, selectively exposing corruption. The Trump White House is a variant of this at it's very beginnings.

Colby and Hegseth are there to provide Trump with plausible deniability. Trump is in love with Putin (antone see his drooling over the photo Putin gavd him and how he boasted about how Putin likes him and does whatever he can to protect him but he realizes that the majorly of Americans are in favor of defending Ukraine ' so Trump let's Colby and Hegseth do his bidding and when their actions are discovered. Trump claims ignorance How anyone could believe that Trump has changed his mind ( I use that word loosely where Trump is concerned) and now sides with Ukraine mystifies me. Want to buy a nice briidge?

You’re welcome and you earned it the old fashioned way: hard core research and facts. You are better in Ukraine 🇺🇦 than any legacy media that I am aware of and I read both U.S. and British military analysts . You are a treasure trove. Keep it up! 🦅

Great commentary. We are lucky to have Shankar issuing updates. Nowhere else can the Ukrainian combat news be seen from any reliable source. If Putin is halted , so is trump. As falls Wichita, so Falls, Wichita Falls. This needs to be made very very clear. J.

Question please. Does the US Review Mechanism mean that US will sell the Patriot systems, knowing they are to be used in Ukraine, but only allow them for defence?

Expand full comment
Shankar Narayan's avatar

Pats will be difficult to control like that as the threat environment is highly dynamic and reactive when inside defense. It is the planned offense bros are keeping their control fingers on. Forcing Ukraine to defend and hard to attack the Russians.

Didn’t Biden lift restrictions on long range? It was late for sure. So did Trump reimpose?

Biden lifted for Kursk. After Starmer chased him for three months. After Kursk withdrawal, we were back to where we started, with a bit more regression.

Because i don't think he will be able to continue. Why did WSJ of all people publish the story with the bros name on it? The are exposing who this guy is. This will escalate very soon as more PURL orders come in. No one is paying billions so bro can hold the key

Shankar. It occurs to me that by having Elon help Trump, Putin succeeded in opening another front in DC in his war on democracy. The Bros are the Putinists. They are now ensconced everywhere. The Reagan Republicans have unexpectedly been enlisted against them in this war. Enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Great coverage, thank you! I'd love to read more from you on it.

Consider this: I've seen more and more in other media that Trump's health is bad. Considering who rises to the office if something happens there, are these reports something more? Putin is a master of the propaganda war, too.
