We’re eventually going to take America back from Trump. In the meantime, great to see Europe stepping up. Trump is becoming a pariah.

Good stuff. I'm so relieved the UK/EU are firmly behind Ukraine and psyched about this Norwegian mvmt. I worked for a Norwegian business owner - it was a huge private company and he held it himself and when he was bullied in national news over not selling it to big pharm in the US he stood his ground with the backing of Norway. it's not a country where its every person for themselves and good luck while we try to undermine you like the US. They back up their citizens, and not just the wealthy ones.

That Trump- Zelenski visit was exactly what Europe needed. They were like zombies prior to it. It wasn’t a great visit but brought back excellent results ( I was born and raised in Europe)

Let the blowback grow to gale force winds.

I look forward to the day Trump discovers he’s not going to get to crow and grin holding his shiny Nobel Peace prize. I look forward to the day he discovers he doesn’t get to visit with his bully-bro Putin any more because he’s been shown an open window after he loses the war and the Russian economy is shrunk to less than North Korea’s.

And most of all I look forward to the day MAGA loses the majority in both houses of Congress and Trump is removed from office through impeachment for treason, corruption, or attempting to rig the 2026 midterms, so we “don’t have to vote any more…”

I look forward to the day Trumpkopf is sitting in a courtroom - in cuffs - while listening to the judge announce "I sentence you to..."

Blowback will affect the US, but I fear for Taiwan even more. They don’t have a Europe to stand for them.

They need to join forces with Japan, South Korea and the Philippines and the whole rest of South East Asia.

Right now, Europe has to consider the possibility that the US will ally itself with Russia for the long-term. If they act now, they can cripple Russia while it's weak before Trump starts propping it up. They need to act quickly before this happens.

Canada has woken up as well. In a particularly vulnerable position but mad as hell! Canada has shared borders with both France and Denmark, so should be negotiating a fast track to EU membership!

I appreciate your pounding the defense industry drum, it's an important factor that has largely been ignored elsewhere.

I listened to recent Ezra Klein- Fareed Zakaria podcast where they discussed whether Trump has been a necessary antidote to European malaise. It may be true that Europe needed this trauma to invigorate its industry, defense & technology being key. Plus perhaps the EU can realize it's vision. I think a lot of good for Europe and the world is coming. (Christ, the alternative is dire.)

I fear Trump might cut off existing aid ( if any after

Biden stocked Ukraine up ) and the consequences of that

Orban may be the outlier but I believe in the EU more now though I live in, ashamed to say at this point but perhaps in 2028. :)
