Naturally I am particularly interested in your conclusion about the power bases. For once I hope the military industrial complex holds sway.
I was fascinated by the idea of Ukraine using different runways coming and going from borders with neighboring countries. That really sounds like a plan. The flyovers by Russian drones must be making some of those neighboring countries a bit nervous to say the least. Maybe they should be a great deal more concerned.
They have got Murdoch and the colby guy would have read the WSJ story. I told you something is going to break very soon didn't I. Not there yet, but the warning flare has been fired.
I wait with bated breath. It is getting harder and harder to watch the Ukraine situation from afar without being able to help. Any small donations I make feel so inadequate.
No. We are good. Few more Trump tantrums remain. But think where it was on April 20th and where we are today and ask which one you would pick? Then or now???
Thank you Shankar. Having airbases toggle the boundaries of NATO countries would certainly give Ukraine Article 5 Protection. In full force- Wouldn't it?
I agree it’s past time for Europe to take off the gloves and do the necessary things without regard to propriety. With N. Korea and China aiding Putin, propriety is absurd. Help Ukraine in any way possible. People are dying every day.
Here's how each of us can help Ukraine. This is a legitimate official Ukrainian website endorsed by many trusted, prominent Americans. So far they have raised over $1.8 billion for such varied things as drones, ambulances, anti-air defense, and rebuilding schools and hospitals. You choose your own area of interest.
Informative report, especially the information about Fox and the rooted military industrial guys. Thanks for the in-depth discussion of all of these aspects of the current war of Russian aggression.
I like the idea. Can't see European states going for it, sadly.
If they wanted to appear more 'even-handed' / not getting involved directly, they could say that they are willing to receive flight planning data from both sides to enable them to avoid hitting the wrong target.
Ukraine would obviously share this data with the Europeans. Russia presumably would refuse to hand over such sensitive data. (And if they did, the Europeans should 'honour' it by not shooting down Russian aircraft, but should share it with the Ukrainians to assist them in shooting them down.)
The Russians should fear that if they handed over the data it would be used against them (just as hospital data on facilities in rebel-held Syria handed to the UN was shared with Russia and used to enable those hospitals to be bombed), but if the Russians don't hand over the data then the Europeans are justified in 'taking no risks' and shooting down anything flying near their airspace.
These "...mobile command posts for mission planning, pilot briefings, and weapons preparation." sound an awful lot like the system Sweden developed to service their Gripen fighters. The Gripens have a much better STOL capability versus the F-16's, so how are the Ukrainians handling that? Stretches of road suitable for F-16 requirements? They can hardly build new strips without attracting the attention of Russian intelligence. Whatever they are doing seems to be successful but when their fleet of aircraft increases, so will the problem of bases. That's a "happy problem" though.
TACO boy is in so much deep do do, his supply of diapers must be enormous and with every day that passes he changes them more times that he can say tariff.
Eventually the GOP will be ripped apart by the billionaire's conflicting interests and MAGA will become "Make America Go Away".
A party full rich uneducated psychopaths will always self destruct when conflict emerges within.

May Ukraine continue with its ingenuity.

It reminds me of the Allied tactics with bombers during WW II. "Shuttle bombing," I think it was called.

Not in full force. More like playing in the gray zone.
Thank you Shankar

I donate to this site as well and have confidence it is legitimate and the funds will be used appropriately.
Yes! I’ve donated to them and feel like I’m contributing in a tangible way!
As have I
"...Moscow ordered its commanders to keep daily casualty rates below recruitment levels..."
Is this supposition or based on real intel?
Just data. There is no way to maintain it inside that tight range for 6 months. 0 chance. It was an order.

Thanks for the work on casualties per hour and the more important look to the future in this article. As always interesting

A real concern must surely be, that ERAMs targets have to shared with and authorised by, the Pentagon.
This allows time for MAGA friendly Pentagon official's to pass target info to the Russians, giving them a head start on evacuating those targets.
Knowing how Putin and Russian military culture work, I can imagine them sacrificing some targets in order to keep the leak safe.
Successful Russian evacuation of every target, every time would be too suspicious.
Excellent! Right on. 👌❤. Thank you👍

Great idea for positioning air-defence units. Why play by the rules when Putin does not?
Sir,
a strategic proposal:
UKR and Kazakhstan close the Volgograd gap, freeing all states south, ending endless dominating usurpation from the north.
The Ukraine needs to just ignore runt, never talk to him again, ever!!! GO into russia and do whatever they have to to stop putin!!!!!
Russia is larger, better armed and willing to fight for another 10 years. I wish Ukraine well.
