How do users of all sorts of platforms not understand that all their choices, all their info is being harvested? Willful ignorance. Trusting the say so of China? They are high.

I dont know. cant blame them. It is the governments job to make sure that these people stay behind the line.

We have had so many examples of why believing governments will do what is best for you is not always the best policy. Independent thought and questioning are necessary.

In an increasingly digitally connected world, the alternative of effectively ostracising yourself from digital connection is for many people not acceptable. Being online or not is not a choice to be considered or discussed. So why would people engage in the (for many of them mentally significantly burdensome) effort of properly informing themselves about the ramifications of that choice?
