You may very well be as right on Jake Sullivan as you are on EU looking to use the Baltic States to provide a full-throated military buffer to Russia's ongoing invasion. Clearly the development of a uniform US/EU counterthreat to Russia never materialized. Maybe it is not too late for that, but then again many die have been cast and Ukraine has paid in blood for every one. Slava Ukraini.
Not one of the countries formerly behind the Iron Curtain are include in our list of key allies and partners! Shame on us for our shortsightedness and basic lack of character.
I realized how badly the Western European nations treat the Baltics when I researched NATO operations last year, especially in air defense and air force operations in Europe. From that time, I understood what was going on. Then, when you told me about the chip nonsense, I knew exactly what they were doing.
I’ve got a kiddo on a NATO tour over there. I’m not necessarily anxious about his well being (for now) but there has been SO much work put into this effort by NATO countries, and in my mind it is for one of the greatest causes ever. Sometimes though, I feel it is all just lip service and it pisses me off. All of this work... for what? To shove them into a corner?
That’s why I read that particular news service I posted. They are up to date on their stuff.

This is exactly what John McCain complained about in 2009. 16 years later, it still remains in the same place.
OKAAAAAYYYYY I am seriously impressed
That is a very sad story.
I guess you are talking about what I wrote here..
Not sure.
I guess you were already writing it when I asked my question. If you weren’t, I am impressed.
No, you got me into this.

thx for sharing.
Things are very safe. Nothing to worry about now. But structurally nato's defense on the eastern flank is extremely weak.
Nothing is ever "safe" in that particular job, but to your comment I get the same sentiment from a certain person I know all the time.
Also, if this situation is a harbinger, we are in relatively early days. As always, multiple factors and personalities are playing a big part.
Thx.
