Trump Halts Aid
"To me it's a date that will go down in history infamy."-- Ukrainian MP
The Trump administration has halted all American military aid to Ukraine, effective immediately. The freeze applies to all U.S. military equipment not yet in Ukraine, including weapons in transit and stockpiled in Poland. It also blocks hundreds of millions of dollars in aid that Kyiv could use exclusively to purchase new military equipment from U.S. defense companies.

This administration constantly speaks of concessions Ukraine must make—but what, if anything, has Russia offered in return? According to this administration, merely stopping its attacks is itself a concession—a position not far from what the Kremlin has pushed for years.
Ukrainian MP Fedir Venislavsky said that "I think we've definitely got enough resources to last about half a year even without consistent U.S. support, but of course, it will be much more difficult." He added that Ukraine must now find ways to compensate for the "quantity and quality of weapons" provided by the United States.
