Trump and Musk Join Forces to Distract While Johnson Slashes Medicaid
The Plan is Set—But There's a Fatal Flaw.
It’s a package. It’s always a package.
What happened to Greenland? Did it vanish from the face of the Earth? Has Canada become the 51st state, so we just stopped talking about it? Is the Panama Canal now fully controlled by the United States, just as Trump wanted?
All those issues are gone. They’ll come back when Trump needs them again. But for now, they’ve served their purpose. During the December 2024–January 2025 stretch, Donald Trump lit a fuse under national and international media. He forced the opposition—and the entire country—to obsess over nonsense while his minions worked behind the scenes, whipping Senate votes for his gloriously unqualified candidates.
He distracted everyone—and he won. A vaccine conspiracy theorist is now in charge of Americans' health. A QAnon believer is leading the country’s premier investigative agency. A dictator-lover is in control of the nation’s intelligence network.
The modus operandi is clear. They get you to look up while they empty your pockets. By the time you realize what you’ve lost, they’ve already moved on to the next target. It’s a coordinated effort. This last time, Trump was the one driving the circus, while Elon Musk, J.D. Vance, and a few others worked the Senate to ram through Trump’s nominees. I have to admit—it worked flawlessly. Trump stumbled with Gaetz, but he recovered pretty damn fast.
This time, it’s Elon Musk running the distraction.
