The Kremlin does not have many choices to pick from. The range extends from a really bad set to a really, really bad set — and even then, the outcome may not be enough to adjust their game, as Zelensky and Europe moved the goalposts in the last 48 hours.

Their instinct right now will be to pummel Ukraine with as much force as possible — more missiles and drones targeting cities and infrastructure. This, however, would only hand leverage to GOP senators aligned with the U.S. defense-industrial complex, piling pressure on Trump to lock Putin further.

Do Raytheon and Lockheed worry about the state of Russia? Of course not. Right now, they are running overnight get-together to figure out how many billions they can walk away with the $100 billion order Europe has dangled infront of them.

He then added a note for President Trump, “These are wise words from a good friend. Putin lies and kills. Your leadership will be key to keep Ukraine, the U.S. and Europe together against Putin’s delays and deceptions.”

Never forget the date and time of defense undersecretary Elbridge Colby’s decision to stop military aid to Ukraine — July 2nd, just 24 hours before Trump and Putin spoke for an hour.
