Georgia Shatters Early Voting Record with 4 Million Votes Cast; GOP Urges Trump Voters to Turn Out on Election Day
It's coming down to the wire, and the GOP is not happy at all.
When was the last time you heard GOP members or MAGA supporters openly admit that, without a strong turnout, they can’t win? Trump is currently on a tour of blue states, visiting New Mexico and Virginia, claiming he’s winning so decisively that he’ll sweep the battleground states and more.
Just about 20 minutes ago, after the final early voting numbers in Georgia were released, Marjorie Taylor Greene made a desperate plea to Republican voters in the state:
The only way we’re going to deliver Georgia for President Trump is if every single voter gets out to vote. About 13% of people who attend Trump rallies don’t vote. We can’t have that. We need every single Trump supporter to get out and cast their ballot for Trump!

The only way to win is if every Trump voter shows up on Election Day?
Interesting, isn’t it? So, what exactly prompted Marjorie Taylor Greene to make a direct plea to voters in Georgia?
The answer lies in the surge of Black voter turnout in the final days of early voting. According to Gabriel Sterling, Chief Operating Officer for Georgia’s Secretary of State’s Office, this has been a record-breaking performance by Black voters in Georgia.
In 2020, 1.1 million Black voters cast their ballots early or by mail. This year, as of last night, Black voters have already cast 1.05 million early and mail-in votes. By the time all mail-in ballots are counted, I expect Black voter turnout to reach the same level as in 2020.
This is incredibly bad news for the GOP, as they are keenly aware that good to high Black turnout could sway the results.
Why? Because they know that women are voting for Kamala Harris in even greater numbers than they did in 2020, eroding the GOP's margins.
Currently, 2,227,496 women have already cast their ballots in Georgia, slightly surpassing the final early voting and mail-in ballot total for women in 2020, which was 2,226,958. Meanwhile, men have cast 1,742,457 ballots so far, nearly 20,000 fewer than their total of 1,762,269 in 2020.
In summary: women have turned out in greater numbers, men have turned out in lower numbers, and Black voters are on track to match their 2020 turnout. Hence, the urgent calls for GOP voters to show up on Election Day.
It’s also important to note that a large proportion of these votes have been cast in-person during early voting, rather than by mail.
These are voters going in person to cast their ballots. So, the expectation of a massive GOP turnout on the final day of voting may not be as pronounced in 2024 as it was in 2020. I still expect more GOP voters to vote on Election Day, but the gap will likely be much narrower. And if women are already ahead of their 2020 numbers in Georgia, they’re equally likely to show up in strong numbers on Election Day.
Here’s the final takeaway:
Women’s vote share in Georgia will likely be slightly higher this year.
Black voters are on track to match their 2020 turnout.
MAGA and Trump need a strong ground game to turn out voters on Election Day, but much of the operation has been outsourced to third parties, including Musk, who’s known for overpromising — remember, he’s been promising to deliver AutoPilot for about a decade now.
Georgia isn’t a must-win state for Kamala Harris, but it’s a must win for Trump.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣that’s awesome. i’ll bet it’s way more than 13%
